This notice is intended to provide information regarding the use of your personal data by The Company Legumology Ltd for the purposes of the application process.

Who Collects The Information

The Company is the ‘data controller’ of this processing activity.

We are processing data for the purpose of processing your application. The legal basis for processing is your consent.  We will notify you of any changes to information we collect or to the purposes for which we collect and process it.

We may need to share some of the below categories of personal information with other parties, such as in-house recruiters, hiring Managers, our HR department, and third party service providers, including recruiting agencies and IT system providers.

What Information Do We Collect?

We receive information about you from a number of sources. The information we receive and store may include as follows:

  • Your curriculum vitae / resume;
  • Details of your qualifications, experience, employment history (including job titles potential salary level and working hours) and interests; and
  • Details of your referees.

We may collect the following information after the shortlisting stage, and before making a final decision to recruit, to the extent permitted by the law:

  • Information about your previous academic and/or employment history, including details of any conduct, grievance or performance issues, appraisals, time and attendance, from references obtained about you from previous employers and/or education providers; and
  • Information regarding your academic and professional qualifications.

Where Information May Be Held 

Information is stored online in the registered office of the Company and third party agencies, service providers, representatives and agents as described above.

How Long We Keep Your Information 

We keep the personal information that we obtain about you during the recruitment process for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it is processed (or for unsuccessful candidates where specific restrictions apply, within the period stated in the attached Appendix).

If your application is successful, your personal information will be transferred to the HR file system for the purposes of your hiring process and employment contract in accordance with our staff privacy policy.

Your Rights With Respect To Your Personal Information 

In relation to the processing of your information by the Company, you have the following rights:

 To withdraw your consent at any time. Please keep in mind that withdrawing your consent does not have retroactive effect. This means that the withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of past processing based on consent before its withdrawal. The Company is therefore not required to undo these past processing following the withdrawal of your consent.

 Request access to your personal information. This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

 Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

 Request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to withdraw consent (see above).
